5 things to do in Freeport.

This post is past due. Like way, way past due. Right after we got out of school for Christmas break, Haley, her family, and I went to Freeport, Bahamas. Seriously such an amazing trip. We went for about three days and I thought it was the perfect amount of time. The weather was warmer than at home and it wasn't crowded because of the off-season.

So here are my list of must-dos while in Freeport.

1| Go horseback riding on the beach. This was definitely one of my favorite things we did. When we arrived, we were greeted by tons and tons of cats that just sat on us and then we had about a two hour ride through the island and onto the beach. It was like a fairytale, no joke. We did it through Pinetree Stables and they were great!

2| Go to the beach. We have the beach in Charleston, but the beaches in the Bahamas are hard to beat. The crystal blue water is ahmazing. It was a little chilly to do a ton of laying out while we were there, but on our first day, we all ended up falling asleep on the beach and it was so perfect.

3| Walk and explore. One of my favorite things was when Haley and I adventured over to a nearby hotel. We heard music and followed right in tow. There was a show and it provided for tons of laughter. We also kinda sneaked in, so thats always an experience.

4| Go fishing. And then eat your catch. Another one of my favorite things we did while we were there. Chip, Haley, and I got up early one morning and hopped on a boat to go fishing. It was such a fun experience. We ended up catching around 7 fishes during our two hours and then got to have them for lunch. There's such a thrill about reeling in a fish after patiently waiting for a bite.

5| Enjoy the scenery. I will never grow tired of seeing these sunsets. They are gorgeous and so hard to beat. Freeport is such a beautiful place. I could sit and stare at the sky all day long, especially while the sun is going down.
