December Goals.

I know it. I'm behind on these, too. But better late than never, right?

So, my November goals went pretty well. Let's recap, shall we?
1. Finish Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and start Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
I did half of this one. I finished the Prisoner of Azkaban pretty early into November, but I have yet to get my hands on the Goblet of Fire. But! Plane ride is coming next week, so it'll definitely make an appearance in this month's goals.

2. Study over Thanksgiving Break.
Huzzah! I actually did this one. Maybe not a ton, but I did attempt to study over break, while my grades may not reflect that.

3. Save, save, save.
This one is a little hard to quantify, but I feel like I did a better job of saving money over November.

4. Focus on being grateful.
I feel like this one was definitely accomplished throughout the month of November. We all definitely focus on what we're grateful for, and I definitely need to do this more often.

5. Work on being quick to listen and slow to speak.
I don't know that I'll ever get to cross this one completely off. This is such a hard thing for me. I don't really have a filter, and I need to create one. It's such a struggle for me, but by the Grace of God, I'm trying to work on it.

Now for December goals!

1. Start and finish the Goblet of Fire
I know I can do it. Once I start, I'll definitely finish pretty quickly. I'll actually have time to read once I go home!

2. Spend time with the Lord, daily.
When I go home, I don't have a set schedule like I do at school, so its harder for me to plan out time I spend with the Lord. I really want to spend quality time with Him, daily and really strive to accomplish this goal.

3. Work on support letters for India.
I started writing my India support letters, but I need to work on wrapping them up and sending them out.

4. Keep in touch with friends from school.
It's so easy to get caught up with the busyness of December, but I want to stay connected with friends here at school and catch up with them every so often.

5. And because I can't have an even numbered, list: Enjoy December and enjoy each day as it comes.
I can so easily let the days go by without enjoying them for what they are. "I wish this work day would go by quickly" "I wish Christmas would just already get here." I tend to say these things a lot during December, but then before I know it, it is time to go back to school. So I really wanna just enjoy December as it comes.

I'd love to hear about your goals for the month!

  1. Hurray for goals! I'd love if you'd send me your support letter for India. Are you rereading the HP series? I love it so much and I'm thinking of starting the series again soon.
