Day 2 in Shanghai!

Today was a great day! We got up, had breakfast, and then had devotions.

Karla led devotions and had us all in tears by the end of it. She played a song that reminded us all of why we are here. For the kids. We are here to make a difference for just one. One at a time.

She told us how we are all sunflowers. We turn towards the Son and the sun shines on our faces for others to see. We lay our seeds down and share the Gospel with others. She gave us precious sunflower necklace charms, and mine is now on my necklace to constantly remind me that I am a Sonflower.

After devotions, we headed to the Bund. The Bund is where the famous Pearl tower is at. The skyline and the tower can be seen at the Bund. I enjoyed seeing "my tower" up close today ;)

After the Bund we did a little but of shopping.

We were supposed to be at Jinhua orphanage today which is near shanghai, but because we did not get approval we did not get to go. We are all pretty bummed that we didn't get to go, but God provided some good team bonding.

We ate some amazing lunch and then headed back to the hotel. We played some more cards and then decided that pizza would be best for dinner because we have to repack everything and get up super early tomorrow.

We ordered pizza, and somehow we ended up with some pizza with shrimp on it :/

After dinner we did some more devotions and all talked about the kids and the orphanage.

Our guide talked to the orphanage today and they are very excited for us to come. She said that when we get in tomorrow we will hopefully be able to go to the orphanage.

The first time we get there they like to talk to us and tell us what they are wanting to spend the donation money on, our schedule, and other information we need to know for the week. By heading over to the orphanage tomorrow, we will hopefully be able to dive straight into loving on kids early Wednesday morning.

So all that being said...I GET TO SEE MY KIDS TOMORROW!

I can't believe I'm back. I can't believe God has blessed me so much by putting me back here. Amy said it best when she said she feels like a kid on Christmas eve.

So tomorrow we fly to Changsha and then take the bus to Chenzhou..

I want to quickly just say thank you to everyone who has helped me get here this far. It means the world to me. I will try to upload a few pictures to the blog a little bit tomorrow. Who knows haha.
