Day 5--Drive to Windermere, Boat on Lake Windermere, Beatrix Potter's house in Hawkshead, Indian food for dinner, Pub for music and pool

Our days in London have come to an end ;(

We woke up early and headed out of the city so we could get to the Lake District early. The drive was not bad at all, considering I slept the whole way. It's a great way to make the time pass.

Windermere is beautiful. This is the view from our room. The picture does not give it justice. A little town right on the lake. What could get any better?

We took a walk around, a decided that we were going to take a little boat out on the lake and go exploring. If you know my family, you know we like to explore and find stuff that not every tourist would find. We did not follow the suggested route at all.

Can you say beautiful?!?
We went back to the room and everyone took a nap. We were so exhausted from all the hiking and exploring.

After our much needed nap, we all got in the car and drove all the way to the other side of Lake Windermere and went to Hawkshead. We were planning on going to Beatrix Potter's house that day, but of course they were closed on our only day there. We went anyways, just to see it.

I thought it was pretty cool. The little village was cute and of course we stopped in the pub to get drinks. One of my favorite pubs from the whole trip.

After Hawkshead, we drove back to Bowness-on-Windermere, which is the town we stayed in, and went to a great Indian place for some curry. The one food we could all agree on. We had way too much Indian food on this trip, but it really is the best.

Just to give you more of an idea of the beauty of this place.
After dinner, we headed down to yet another pub for music. Little did we know, it was open mic night, so it was pretty painful to listen to, but they had a pool table, so thats what we did. It's fun just being with the locals.
