Giving Thanks

I feel a little late in giving thanks...it was the last holiday but I feel as though we should always give thanks...mostly just a reminder for me.

Today I had the opportunity of giving Christmas gifts to an underprivileged family. The effects on me were a little more than I had expected. The three little kids were so cute. In going out and giving them these gifts I realized how blessed I am to have everything that I have--a roof over my head, dinner on the table, a wonderful private school to go to, loving friends and family that surround me, and most importantly a Father who loves me unconditionally. Today when I was complaining about how cold it was outside someone told me to be thankful that I have a warm home to go to. That really put things into perspective. I DO have a warm home to go to. Some people don't. Most people all around the world don't. I AM BLESSED! and I am so thankful for it. I complain about so many things, but in reality I should be giving thanks for everything!

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Jesus Christ."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
